Linen jeans
Fabric and construction are high quality. The fit is quite large. I am a size 8, but the British size equivalent is at least one size too large. The two times that I exchanged for another size, I only received a credit with no explanation. In contacting customer care, I found that they were sold out in all three of my choices. It is apparently not possible to speak to the company directly in England, but have not had satisfactory assistance from customer care.

ok, but pricey
Nice pants, but quite expensive and I can see where other reviewers have been unhappy with the fit. They would never work for someone with a large waist-to-booty ratio as they're cut fairly straight. I ordered the UK size 12 and they're a bit loose in the legs but otherwise fit fine on my fairly straight, un-hippy figure. The fabric is nice; substantial without being too heavy. I am, however, very disappointed that a company would run out of a summer garment before summer has actually even started, and would have no plans to replenish their stock during the summer season, as I was informed when I inquired about future availability of another, very similar, item. For the prices charged, this is terrible customer service.

One item of three, ordered 2/29, has arrived, though I received a notice that all were shipped. My email three days ago has not been responded to. Neither pair of linen jeans has arrived. So, I am not happy at all about this situation. Janet Noonan

Wish I'd bought two!
I held off writing a review till I had a chance to fully try these out. Fit is perfect for me (small waist, large hips). These jeans are comfortable and great-looking. I truly wish I had bought another pair in a second color before my size was gone. I'll be back looking for a re-stock.

Where's the grey??
Very big in the hips, just about right in waist. The color is not what I expected from the name of pebble grey. My pants are a creamy off white color, with no grey tones. I do like the design and use of fabric for a very casual pants.

great fabric...sorry they don't fit!
tried two sizes in these and neither fit. maybe the cut is just too generous in the hip for me. these are not classic boy-cut jeans but made for a curvier body than mine. i was sorry...i loved the color of the light denim.

nice but oversized
Lovely soft linen fabric with a nice jeans cut but they run much too big. Tried both the 12 and the 10 and found very little difference between the two. Size 8 is sold out, so I guess I'm out of luck on this one.

POOR FIT AT THE RISE
Lovely fabric, color and design. Ordering one size up makes for a fine fit for me EXCEPT they are too short around the rise/crotch to be truly comfy. What a shame since only one or two inches of fabric would have made all the difference. I really hate to return them when there is only one thing about them I don't love, but I feel like I'll always want to be tugging at them whenever I wear them so I'm on the fence about what to do.

One star because I can't get any!!!!!!!!!!
I ordered 2 pair size 8 then rec'd email they were no longer available:( I sooooo much want these linen jeans!! No one, READ no one else has them! They should be a basic/staple item for summer!!! I keep looking for size 8's to show up and one day I see a pair!!! I put them in my cart and go to checkout and they are no longer available!? Not happy! Sad:(

Garment dyed linen jeans cut too curvy
I tried my usual size, and they didn't fit. I liked the fabric and the overall style, but the waist was too small (or the hips too large for my size. I already wrote one review which wasn't published ????), and this is my second one. Please, Poetry, accept critical reviews also. I'm not badmouthing the product, just giving details of how the jeans fit me so others will benefit. Actually, I'd appreciate a private response to my concern of not having my earlier review published. You've published other reviews of mine, all of which have been favorable.. Thanks very much.

great pair of pants
It would be preferable if you could take orders with a US size rather than only a UK size, as I had two different opinions of what a US size 6 was in UK sizes and therefore the wrong size was ordered. I even had a friend in the UK send me what she believed a size chart should be and hers was different (so really three opinions). I am not returning the pants, because as you know these were hard enough to get because each time I called the order could not be filled, so I'll wear them 1 size too big, but now I know I wear a UK size 10. I called back yesterday to order another pair of the gray in UK size 10, but to no avail. I have the top size worked out as well. I hope to get this same pant in a size that fits me--they said to call back in two weeks. Now if you tell me you have the blue in a size 10, I will take them and return these at some point. thank you.

The perfect linen jean....
Love the look and the new color...BUT there are issues with fit. These are the same size I ordered in the same jean last year and the fit is much closer...actually better since i needed to have last year's pairs taken in. You need to get your sizing better controlled. Color...OK, I like the Brit understated muddy colors but wish for example, the linen knit V-neck sweater came in some basic colors like sand, navy, black or plain white.

Beautiful fabric, but large in the hips and too short for me (tall girl)
I thought the blue linen was perfect and was very excited to try them on, but unfortunately they are too short and also too large in the hips. I'll keep them and have them altered and roll the hems up. Can't resist the linen feel and drape!
