Beautifully Made, But . . .
The waist on these trousers was particularly big on me - a full size or more too big. I'm true to size in a US Size 4 Regular; sometimes a US Size 6 Petite. The length was perfect, the style quite cute, the material substantial (not too flimsy like some linen can be) . . . but . . . I can't recommend them because of the fit, in particular the proportion between waist and hip. I even considered getting them tailored, I liked them so much, but for the price I couldn't justify the additional expense, so I returned both pairs.

these are great pants
I now have these in two different colors and I love them. They fit well and look great. They are a heavy linen so they don't wrinkle quite as much as some of the lighter weight linen pants I have. I thought the wide leg might be too much since I am short - I am 5'4" and 125 LBs - but I think they look great and they're extremely comfortable too!!

I loved the trousers, but",
I really, really wanted this pant to work. They were long..I am 5' 1..not a problem, I would have had them fixed. The problem was the waist. Although the pants fit everywhere else (except the length) the waist was too big and could not be altered. Excellent style, exceptional quality. I am a us 4 and ordered the 8

Have to have a pair of wide leg off-white linen pants for summer!
Wouldn't say they were anywhere near the grey family, but they are a perfect light colored linen pant which is a must for anyone's summer wardrobe. I take a size 6 USA, so I bought a size 12 in UK sizing and it is a tad loose, but not going back. I know from previous experience that the must haves of any season must be had 2 months in advance or stock and sizes are limited.

Very nice quality
Pocket placement is such that they pull or gape because are right at side of hip where leg bends . A problem for both my daughter and I - & we have very different builds.

Cut way too big...
I really wanted these pants to work out, but alas... I am a small person with wide hips and small waist so I gravitate toward wide leg pants, but these were huge on me in a size 14 (UK) which is what I usually wear. The fabric is great with a nice drape but I had to pass them on to a friend who is less pear shaped. Too bad.

Holy Mo, what happened here?
The pants are made of a good quality fabric, but the fit is bizarre. The waist is at least two sizes too big -- I could hold it out several inches from my body. Belting it didn't help, either; it just bunched all the fabric up. Yet the fit was fine everywhere else. I've never seen such a strange design flaw. Back they go.

Beautiful pants.
I bought these in sand when they went on sale end of last summer and have just had them shortened. I bought the 30" length but as I'm only 5'0 1/2 " they were a tad too long. They are the best quality linen pants I've ever bought, and I buy linen pants every summer. I bought a size 10 and they fit me perfectly though I am quite thick around the waist, so I dont" know how they would be on someone with a slimmer waist. However, I can't rate them high enough. The linen is gorgeous, my husband also really likes them!

Dress them up or Down!
I've had dozens of linen trousers over the years, but these are definitely one of my favorites. The weight of the linen is substantial enough that they maintain their shape & don't show the shadow of your undies! I love the wide waistband & hem; both are indicative of a finer quality garment. I did order the 30" length by mistake, but I've got the longer 32" length on their way as an exchange. It was also nice that I didn't have to pay another shipping fee as Poetry provides it complimentary if you do an exchange. I'm 5'9" with a straight & slender figure if that helps with your making a decision regarding fit. I found them to be very true to size if you take a look at the conversion chart from UK to USA sizes.
