We use a luxurious weight of silk crępe de chine which has a matte, textured hand feel. The weight we use for our printed styles is 14 momme (the higher the momme, the heavier the silk).

We love working with pure silk. It is a beautiful fabric that looks amazing and is lovely to wear. We would never use synthetic alternatives such as polyester as they really are no substitute for the real thing.

Silk is a filament fibre which means the fibre length is very long. This is why silk is both softer and stronger than all other natural fibres. The high-quality silk is sourced and spun in China. To achieve the crępe de chine effect the silk yarn is spun with a high twist so when woven in fabric it creates a fine texture. The fabric is then digitally printed with our unique designs and sand-washed for a softer finish.

The garments are made by our supplier in China region where silk has been produced for thousands of years. Huzhou city where the factory is located is often called the “hometown of silk” as it is considered to be one of the birthplaces for silk cultivation and still produces one of the best quality silks in the world.
