Fibre
TENCEL™ lyocell fibres are made by using a closed-loop production process that transforms wood pulp into cellulosic fibres with high resource efficiency and low environmental impact. This solvent-spinning process recycles process water and reuses the solvent at a recovery rate of more than 99%. TENCEL™ lyocell fibres are derived from sustainable wood sources- sustainably managed forests. All TENCEL™ standard lyocell fibres are biodegradable and compostable under industrial, home, soil, freshwater and marine conditions.
The flax used to make our linen is grown in France, where the flax plant needs minimal water, energy, pesticides, and fertilisers to grow, making it one of the most naturally sustainable fibres.
Viscose is a cellulosic man-made fibre created from natural wood pulp. The wood pulp is purified and transformed into cellulose which then is extruded into yarn.
Our viscose is sourced from our supplier in Germany who use only wood from sustainably-managed forests.
Fabric
Our medium-weight lyocell, linen and viscose fabric has a silky feel and an excellent drape. The styles are garment dyed which means applying colouring after the garment has been sewn. This allows us to dye only the amounts and colours we know our customers like.
Factory
The garments are made in Portugal by our supplier with whom we have worked for almost 10 years. Carla is always forthcoming and expert in her field, always a pleasure to work with.
