Fibre
The alpacas are responsibly farmed in the Peruvian highlands. Alpacas' impact is light on the land they graze which makes them one of the most environmentally friendly animals. Our wool fibres come from South Africa and are mulesing-free.

Fabric
Our wool and alpaca bouclé yarn creates warm, playful and incredibly soft knitted garments. Bouclé means that the yarn is made from looped fibre along the thread and when knitted it creates a lovely curly texture. Because the base of the yarn is wool it also makes the garment plusher and more durable than lighter bouclé knits. Yarns are dyed before creating the fabric which gives them solid even colouring. Each panel is knitted to the shape of the garment which therefore creates less wastage. Panels and trims are attached using a hand-linking machine, resulting in a premium, high-quality garment.

Factory
The knits are produced in close collaboration with one of our longest standing suppliers, a small knitter based in Dongguan, China. We have enjoyed working with owner Robert and his dedicated team, Ceci and Carmen, for over 20 years. Their knowledge, experience and attention to detail is second to none. We are proud to have them as part of our team.
