Our finely woven linen and cotton fabric is beautiful as well as breathable with naturally cooling properties, perfect for summer dresses and tops. The addition of cotton makes this fabric slightly heavier than our yarn-dyed linen.
The flax used to make our linen is grown in France, where the flax plant needs minimal water, energy, pesticides, and fertilisers to grow making it one of the most naturally sustainable fibres. The cotton used for this fabric comes from China. When the yarn is dyed the cotton and the linen take the colour slightly differently resulting in a marled colour. We then add more depth to the colour by combining different yarn colours in the warp and the weft.
We have been working with the supplier that makes these garments for more than 15 years. They are very precise and have the highest quality standards. The garments they make tend to have a more tailored finish, although the linen cotton fabric keeps the overall feeling relaxed.
