Fibre
Our kapok fibres are grown in Indonesia. Kapok fibres are natural, silky fibres derived from the seed pods of the kapok tree. Kapok floss is hydrophobic and lighter than cotton. A feature of kapok fabric is the presence of small kapok seeds, seen as brown flecks in the material. Harvested from fast-growing, low-input trees without the use of fertilizers or pesticides, kapok fibres are environmentally friendly.
Our cotton is grown in Brazil.
Fabric
Our heavy yet soft cotton and kapok fabric is a cleverly woven double cloth. Designed for warmth, the two interlaced layers create insulating air pockets that help retain heat. Made with thicker yarns, this fabric features a fine weave on the front and a hopsack weave on the reverse perfect for soft, comfortable jackets that still provide exceptional warmth.

This style is made by our Chinese supplier, who specialises in producing fabric and clothing using kapok fibres. Their expertise in working with natural materials ensures both comfort and sustainability in every piece.
