Fibre
The flax used to make our linen is grown in France, where the flax plant needs minimal water, energy, pesticides, and fertilisers to grow making it one of the most naturally sustainable fibres.
Fabric
Woven in the style of classic denim, our pure linen indigo fabric offers the beautiful texture and effortless drape of laundered linen. After spinning, half the yarns are yarn-dyed with indigo dye and half left undyed in ecru. The typical denim cloth is created by weaving the indigo-coloured yarn with undyed ecru in a 3/1 twill weave structure which makes the specific look of a denim cloth. Then the fabric is sewn into a garment and indigo dye is washed out to achieve the desired softness and worn look.
Factory
We have been working with our partners based in China to develop this fabric all the way from the yarn to the finished product. We have been working with Cong and Sunny since 2014 and they have been specializing in linen textiles for generations. Their innovation and impeccable quality mean we can bring our ideas to life and develop special woven fabrics using all-natural fibres.
