Fibre
The alpacas are responsibly farmed in the Peruvian highlands, where the yarn is also spun and dyed. Thanks to their soft hooves and gentle feeding habits, alpacas have a light impact on the land on which they graze. To ensure the structural stability and durability of the yarn, a polyamide fibre is used. We aim to avoid synthetic fibres in our collections, but include it on this occasion to make sure our garments last without compromising the unique boucle texture.
Fabric
Our alpaca bouclé yarn creates warm and playful knitted garments with a distinctive textured appearance. Bouclé refers to a yarn made with loops of fibre along its length, which creates a beautifully curly texture when knitted. As well as adding visual character, this unique structure creates additional air pockets, enhancing the fabric’s natural warmth and insulation. The fibres are top dyed before being spun into yarn, a process that creates beautiful mélange colours with depth and a soft hand feel. Each panel is knitted to the shape of the garment, reducing yarn waste. The panels and trims are then attached using a hand-linking machine, resulting in a beautifully finished, premium quality garment.

One of our newest knitwear suppliers is located in Peru. We chose to work with them because of their excellent skills, drawn from centuries of tradition using materials such as alpaca, cotton and wool, all of which are available locally.

Our parcels are delivered by FedEx and despatched from our warehouse in the heart of England to the USA. Parcels will be despatched within 2 business days and delivered within 3–5 business days after despatch.
