Fibre
Our cashmere comes from Inner Mongolia where cashmere goats graze freely and the herdsmen follow appropriate standards of animal welfare and land management. We use only grade A cashmere fibre which is very fine and has a longer staple length to ensure our knits remain soft and wear well.
Silk is a filament fibre which means the fibre length is very long. This is why silk is both softer and stronger than all other natural fibres. Our premium-quality silk is sourced and spun in China.
Fabric
The beauty of our fine-gauge silk and cashmere knitwear lies in the combination of fibres - the cashmere gives softness and warmth whilst the silk adds drape as well as comfort against the skin. The fibres are 'top' dyed before being spun into yarn. This process results in beautiful melange colours and a softer hand feel. Each panel is knitted to the shape of the garment which therefore creates less wastage. Panels and trims are then attached using a hand-linking machine, resulting in a premium, high-quality garment.
Factory
Our supplier is based in China, in a small factory that specialises in fine-gauge knitwear. We have been working closely with Jerry and his team since 2012.
